Senior DotNET Developer

Summary: Architects, develops, enhances, and maintains mission critical software applications. Responsibilities include development of n-tier systems, data analysis, system analysis, testing, and implementation planning. Produces high quality, robust application code, Ability to analyze and understand complex relational database designs, Follows application development life cycle best practices, Works with minimal direction. Keeps abreast of technology trends and developments looking for opportunities to improve the environment and application suite. Works well in a team environment and may lead or direct the work of others. Reports to the Application Development Director. Specific Responsibilities: • Architects and designs n-tier applications in a fast-paced rapid development environment • Maintains and enhances existing applications • Designs user interface experience following company standards • Designs modular approaches than can easily be enhanced and extended • Tests code under all possible scenarios, creating the test plan and documenting results • Performs data, system, and environment analysis • Maintenance and enhancement of deployed applications, including reduction of overall life cycle costs • Creates SQL statements/procedures for use in software applications • Continually pursues career development under a self directed approach • Required to support software environment, as needed, during off business hours Required Skills/Experience: • Five+ years of full time application development experience using Microsoft technologies • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or comparable education and experience • C#, Visual Basic, MS Visual Studio, .NET (C#) • XML • Oracle 9i, PL/SQL • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Desired Skills/Experience: • Networking literacy, database design a strong plus • ASP.NET and knowledge of web application architecture a plus. • MSMQ API • Experience in card processing industry and understanding of financial systems • Transaction processing (OLTP) experience desired • Ability to handle frequent change and remain composed in stressful situations
