We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is remote-first, but candidates must be open to coming onsite in Bangalore as needed. You’ll be working with a Fortune 500 client, contributing to cutting-edge projects in a highly collaborative environment.
Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications
- 6+ years of Java development experience, with a strong record of delivering complex and scalable applications.
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, and RDS.
- Strong understanding of database design and optimization for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to healthcare IT standards (FHIR, openEHR) is a big plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based applications that are scalable, secure, and high-performing.
- Contribute to the development of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize application performance by leveraging cloud-native best practices on AWS.
- Work closely with product managers and domain experts to gather and refine technical requirements.
- Mentor junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies, particularly in cloud computing, microservices, and healthcare IT.
- Ensure code quality by implementing robust unit and integration testing strategies (TDD preferred).
