We are currently seeking a talented Kafka Specialist Developer for one of our esteemed clients in the Insurance Segment. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in building and maintaining message configurations and flows, ensuring the seamless operation of Kafka applications, and providing robust solutions to complex challenges.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining message configurations and flows within Kafka
- Conducting in-depth issue analysis on Kafka applications and providing comprehensive solutions
- Translating written requirements and specifications into actionable software development tasks
- Developing software solutions in accordance with specified requirements
- Assisting in the formulation of Master Data Management (MDM) strategy and process design
- Conducting unit tests and documenting test results
- Collaborating with team members to provide operations support
- Ensuring the performance optimization of applications and databases
Mandatory Skills
- 7-10 years of industry development experience utilizing Kafka
- Extensive knowledge of Kafka Stream and Kafka Connect
- Proficiency in managing and monitoring Kafka clusters
- Experience working in Agile environments and with Azure DevOps
- Ability to set up robust CI/CD pipelines
- Strong drive to deliver results, both independently and as part of a team
- Proactive and assertive work attitude
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Preferably, experience with API development and REST services
- Proficiency in solution design and requirements engineering
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in creating Kafka events
- Familiarity with Reinsurance, Finance, Claims, and Underwriting domains
- Knowledge of reinsurance software such as DXC SICS or similar, including SICS data model
- Understanding of CDC (Claim by Direct Click) processes
