Role Description:
- Design, write and debug software for web-based sites and business applications using C# in a .Net framework
- Execute and coordinate SharePoint administration tasks as needed including configuration management, code packaging and deployments and configuration across environments to production for support and new development releases
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, application users to define requirements, design, and develop SharePoint artifacts (e.g. lists, pages, content types, deployment packages, web parts, workflows, etc.).
- Adhere to company software development lifecycle including design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs
- Maintain and enhance existing SharePoint and .Net applications
- Assist in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents
- Work as part of a team to build .Net application software
- Create and maintain company programming standards for SharePoint development
- Test and develop documentation of SharePoint/.Net applications and update as necessary
Principle Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Architecture and design of SharePoint implementations using best practices to create applications that meet user requirements
- Implementation and customization of SharePoint-based solutions
- Implementation of SharePoint-based workflows, lists and other native components
- Microsoft .NET development to extend and augment the SharePoint platform
- Design, build, or maintain web applications, using .NET and related scripting languages (C#, ASP.NET, Ajax, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Define, develop, document and maintain procedural, SQL and PL/SQL programs
- Work with management and/or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, and choose solutions
- Utilize version control methodology and tools in accordance with company policies
- Identify and correct problems uncovered by testing from end-user feedback
- Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems in use by the company and its end-users
- Coordinate with IS managers to determine impact and interdependencies between SharePoint/web applications and systems/networks
- Fully grasp and understand the corporate vision, goals, and strategies
- Collaborate with other team members, including non-developers, while developing software systems
- Document all business processes
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Deadline-driven with minimal supervision
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-wide application using Microsoft SharePoint (SharePoint 2010).
- Experience with taxonomy planning (Web applications, site collections, document libraries, content type, site columns, and search).
- Knowledge of IIS, Active Directory, AD security, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancer, Firewall, and SMTP.
- SharePoint Installation and Configuration
- SharePoint Site Collection and Site Template Creation and Administration
- SharePoint Sites Lists, Pages, Web Parts, Themes, Notifications and User Profiles, Security Authorization, Site Administration Tools, Advanced Information Management, Site Definitions and Features
- 3+ years of experience w/ Microsoft Visual Studio .NET or similar web development environment
- Technical experience w/ HTML and JavaScript code
- 3+ years of experience in database development with PL/SQL or T-SQL or MySQL
- Technical experience w/ RDBM systems (SQL Server, Oracle)
- Excellent verbal & written skills
