We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a remote position based in India, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to our clients’ network infrastructure projects. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring, installing, and managing various network devices and services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring smooth network operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Configuration & Installation. Configure and install various network devices and services, including routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Network Management. Manage the day-to-day operations of the network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution. Handle network-related issues such as routing slowness, EIGRP flapping, and faulty hardware or interfaces. Provide solutions to access-related cases, ensuring network stability.
- Maintenance & Upgrades. Participate in regular system maintenance and upgrades, ensuring network devices are up-to-date and running efficiently.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work closely with other teams to ensure successful project delivery, providing technical expertise where needed.
- Standards & Best Practices. Apply and enforce standards for network configurations and snowflake/custom setups. Keep the network secure, efficient, and scalable.
- Emerging Technologies. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging network technologies to continuously enhance the infrastructure.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience. Minimum 8 years of experience in Routing & Switching with a solid understanding of networking concepts.
Technical Expertise
- Proficient in Routing, Switching, ACLs, Subnetting.
- Deep understanding of static and dynamic routing protocols such as EIGRP and BGP.
- Expertise in VPN technologies, including IPSec, DMVPN, and Remote Access VPN.
- Strong knowledge of both IPv4 and IPv6.
- Troubleshooting. Exceptional network troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues swiftly and efficiently.
- Firewalls. Experience with NG Firewalls (ASA/FTD/FMC) is required.
- Certifications. CCNP certification is a must.
- Linux. Familiarity with Linux CLI for network configuration and troubleshooting.
Nice to Have
- CCIE Routing & Switching. Advanced certification is highly desirable.
- Advanced Skills. Experience with VRFs, IPSec, and other advanced networking concepts.
- Version Control. Knowledge of Git or any other revision control system for managing network configurations.
- Scripting. Experience with Python for automating network tasks and improving operational efficiency.
