As a Senior SAP Application Engineer at Google, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and managing enterprise-grade SAP solutions that drive financial and operational efficiencies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and Google executives to build seamless, high-performance systems that support the company's growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development. Design data models for the business domain and implement resource-oriented web services for both read and write operations.
- Technical Leadership. Drive the technical and architectural strategy from concept to delivery. Lead projects with minimal assistance and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- System Integration. Manage and execute SAP system integrations, including high availability setups, system upgrades, disaster recovery plans, and performance tuning.
- Quality Assurance. Implement unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests. Maintain and support services built by the team, ensuring their reliability and scalability.
- Collaboration. Work closely with other engineering teams and Google executives to translate business needs into technical specifications and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Project Management. Oversee the SAP team's projects, ensuring timely delivery and integration of SAP systems with Google’s infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in SAP implementations, with a strong focus on SAP ABAP on S/4 HANA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in SAP technologies, including Advanced ABAP (Object-Oriented), oData, Restful ABAP, Fiori, SAPUI5, CDS, Dialog (Transaction) Programming, Enhancements (User Exits, BADI, BAPI), and Interfaces (IDOCs, RFCs, Web Services).
- Proven experience in SAP system performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, system refreshes, and backup mechanisms.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks across various user groups.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence others, build consensus, and effectively resolve conflicts.
