Overview
Mastercard is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the Blockchain and Digital Assets engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to building innovative products using multiple Blockchain technologies, delivering solutions at a global scale. The position involves collaboration within an agile team, focusing on the adoption of Blockchain technology to bring cutting-edge payment solutions to the market. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the analysis, design, and development of high-performance Java and Blockchain-based solutions.
Role
- Analysis, Design, and Development.
- Responsible for the analysis, design, and development of software solutions.
- Participate in requirement refinement sessions for new applications and customizations, adhering to standards, processes, and best practices.
Technical Leadership
- Understand complex distributed architectures, contribute to high-level design, and work with technical leaders to drive detailed design and implementation of applications, interfaces, and integrations.
- Apply technical capabilities to lead junior employees within the discipline.
Integration Workstreams
- Experience in integration workstreams at an enterprise level using third-party middleware or messaging products.
- Design and implement custom interfaces and mappings for these interfaces.
Performance Engineering and Security Assessments
- Contribute to performance engineering and security assessments of enterprise software architecture.
- Provide guidance, advice, and training to other application developers when needed.
Research and Evaluation
- Research and evaluate tools and software within the ecosystem.
Skills
Programming Languages
- Proficiency with Java JDK 8 or greater.
- Shell Scripting, JSON.
Frameworks and Tools
- Knowledge of Tomcat, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration solutions.
- Expertise in Junit or other automated unit testing frameworks.
- CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, and Maven.
- Source Control Management.
UI Development
- Experience with a UI framework such as ReactJS.
Blockchain Technologies
- Experience with Solidity and Blockchain protocols such as Ethereum, Besu, and Quorum.
- Designing and creating smart contracts for enterprise-grade applications.
