We are seeking passionate Senior Software Engineers to contribute to the next generation Hardware/Firmware for server, silicon, and rack infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Coordination and Integration. Own coordination, integration, validation, and debugging of system software across various components of cloud data centers, including Servers, Racks, and BMC.
- End-to-End Triage and Debugging. Take ownership of end-to-end triage, debugging, root-cause analysis, and resolution of firmware issues within the server fleet.
- System-Level Understanding. Utilize a system-level perspective to validate integrated firmware/system software, aligning with the architectural goals of the product.
- Validation Planning. Create comprehensive validation plans, develop, automate, and execute test cases. Participate in the debug/triage of observed or reported failures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills for OS-based platforms.
- Good understanding of operating systems and device drivers.
- Hands-on experience in programming with Python, C, or C++.
- 8+ years of working experience in design, architecture, development, testing, release, and performance tuning.
- Experience with platform initialization, Board Support Package (UEFI/U-Boot), low-level drivers, and peripherals (PCIe, I2C, eMMC, SPI, USB, UARTs), as well as Memory Management, Scheduling, Interrupts, and multi-threading.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in system-level integration, validation, and debugging of system software.
- Experience in firmware validation/development in the server space is a significant plus.
- Experience creating firmware validation test plans, developing test content, and automating test execution.
- Familiarity with automated testing pipelines (CI/CD) and firmware development/testing on multiple hardware test environments (FPGA, Emulation, Simulation, etc.).
- Knowledge of hardware debuggers like JTAG, Oscilloscope, and Logic Analyzer.
- Strong communication and inter-team collaboration skills.
- Proven debugging experience leading to the resolution of complex Hardware/Firmware interface issues.
