As a Senior Software Engineer in LinkedIn’s Security & Privacy Engineering (SFE) Team, you will be at the forefront of building and securing the infrastructure that powers LinkedIn’s products. This role is pivotal to LinkedIn's success in safeguarding our members' data and ensuring the security and privacy of the services we offer.

Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development. Build scalable services, develop infrastructure, and optimize system performance. You’ll make important architectural decisions, balancing trade-offs to meet business and technical needs.
- Mentorship. Act as a role model and mentor for engineers, providing guidance on best practices in code quality, system design, and problem-solving. Help junior engineers grow their skills and achieve their career goals.
- Cross-team Collaboration. Work closely with other engineering teams to design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable systems. You will help improve engineering productivity by creating tools and services that enable other teams to work efficiently.
- Code Quality & Integration. Ensure that the code you write is well-tested, modular, and maintains high-quality standards. Contribute to a culture of continuous integration with a focus on automated testing and code reviews.
- Advocacy & Leadership. Evangelize security best practices and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that security considerations are embedded early in the product lifecycle.
- Innovation. Contribute to the development of new ideas and solutions that drive innovation in the field of security, infrastructure, and data protection.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm solutions.
- 4+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python, GoLang, or other modern programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant experience in large-scale system design, development, and optimization.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP), with extensive experience designing scalable and reliable services.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure management.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and expertise in building fault-tolerant and highly available systems.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Familiarity with large-scale databases and streaming infrastructure services.
Additional Skills (Desired)
- Leadership and Mentoring. Experience leading engineering teams, driving technical decisions, and coaching engineers.
- Distributed Systems. Hands-on experience with distributed system architectures and tools.
- Security Knowledge. Knowledge of data security principles and experience designing secure systems.
- Problem Solving. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to tackle complex engineering challenges.
