As a Senior Support Engineer for Cloud Migrations, you will play a crucial role in assisting our largest customers as they transition from on-premise Atlassian products to the Atlassian Cloud. You will provide advanced support, product expertise, and help manage migration projects to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Migration Support. Work directly with Atlassian’s largest customers and partners to assist in migrating their Atlassian products from on-premise environments to the cloud.
- Migration Communication. Lead customer-facing calls to provide updates on migration progress, address blockers, and execute production migrations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration. Engage with support teams across regions and collaborate with cloud migration managers, product, and engineering teams to deliver a superior migration experience.
- Best Practices. Advocate for and implement best practices to ensure successful migrations.
- Knowledge Management. Contribute to the creation and review of knowledge articles and participate in release readiness activities.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in support, software services, or system administration for large end-user communities.
- 4+ years working with enterprise customers in a high-touch support model.
- Strong database skills with the ability to write and update SQL queries.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or bash/shell.
- Experience with SSO, SAML, LDAP, Active Directory, and SSL.
- Familiarity with Splunk, APIs, and REST calls.
- Experience with multiple operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows).
- Knowledge of networks and support for Java, particularly JVM components.
- Experience with server-to-cloud migrations is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn new technologies, and a passion for becoming a technical expert.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse roles and teams.
