Job Description

The Senior System Engineer will be responsible for the advanced management and configuration of systems and technologies including Intune, Active Directory (AD), and Microsoft 365/Azure. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and a deep understanding of both cloud and on-premises environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Intune configurations for endpoint management.
  • Develop and deploy remediation scripts to address issues and enhance system stability.
  • Create, test, and deploy application packages to ensure seamless software distribution.
  • Oversee and manage both on-premises Active Directory and EntraID (Azure Active Directory) environments.
  • Implement and maintain synchronization and integration between cloud and on-premises directories.
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 and Azure services, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure efficient and secure operation of cloud-based services and applications.
  • Maintain and administer Windows Server environments (2016-2022), including installation, configuration, and updates.
  • Troubleshoot server-related issues and perform necessary repairs and optimizations.
  • Apply standard networking knowledge to manage and troubleshoot TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
  • Implement and support zero-trust security models to safeguard network resources.
  • Design and enforce Conditional Access policies to control and secure access to applications and data.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution of problems.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Experience. Proven experience in managing Intune, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365/Azure services in a mid-senior level capacity.
  2. Technical Skills. Advanced knowledge of Intune, Active Directory, and EntraID. Intermediate experience with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and Windows Server (2016-2022).
  3. Networking. Strong understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and zero-trust architectures.
  4. Troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex technical issues efficiently.
  5. Conditional Access. Intermediate experience with implementing and managing Conditional Access policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Certifications. Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server.
  2. Soft Skills. Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
