We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in both manual and automated testing, as well as test strategy development. Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies tailored to project needs.
- Develop detailed test plans, outlining scope, testing approach, resources, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with business requirements.
Automation Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automated test scripts.
- Use modern JavaScript-based automation tools, with a strong emphasis on Playwright for both UI and non-UI testing.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of our custom test automation framework built on Java and JavaScript.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast feedback loops.
Test Execution & Maintenance
- Execute various types of testing, including end-to-end, smoke, regression, and integration tests.
- Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work closely with developers and product owners to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Regularly maintain and refactor test scripts to ensure reliability, maintainability, and performance.
Pipeline & Framework Enhancement
- Actively contribute to improving the overall delivery pipeline by identifying automation opportunities and implementing best practices.
- Drive efforts to enhance test automation frameworks, tools, and processes for greater efficiency and coverage.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work in close collaboration with development, DevOps, and QA teams across multiple time zones.
- Provide timely and detailed test status updates, metrics, and reports to project stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in test automation and test strategy formulation.
- Proficient in Java and JavaScript with proven experience building and supporting automation frameworks.
- Strong command of Playwright for browser automation and testing of web applications.
- Experience in writing scripts for both UI and API level testing.
- Deep understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of other automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or WebdriverIO is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
- ISTQB or other testing certifications are a bonus.
