You’ll be working closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system administrators, and end users, to deliver high-impact solutions that drive operational efficiency, compliance, and value across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders, business analysts, and end-users to understand business needs and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Participate in requirement analysis sessions to ensure a deep understanding of business goals related to ITAM and software compliance.

Design & Development

  • Design and build scalable and sustainable ServiceNow solutions aligned with ITAM/SAM best practices.
  • Customize and configure modules such as Asset Management, Software Asset Management (SAMPro), Procurement, Contract Management, and Configuration Management (CMDB).
  • Develop business rules, client scripts, UI policies, workflows, data policies, and UI actions to support robust and user-friendly applications.

Implementation of SAM & Discovery

  • Configure and maintain ServiceNow Discovery to ensure accurate and up-to-date asset information.
  • Implement SAMPro functionalities to support software license tracking, optimization, and compliance monitoring.
  • Establish workflows and integrations to automate the procurement, deployment, and retirement of hardware and software assets.

System Integration

  • Integrate ServiceNow ITAM solutions with third-party tools and systems such as procurement platforms, help desk solutions, and existing CMDBs.
  • Build and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID servers, and other ServiceNow integration frameworks.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct thorough unit and system testing to ensure reliability and performance of ServiceNow applications.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist QA teams with test planning and execution.

Support & Maintenance

  • Provide ongoing support for deployed solutions, addressing bugs, performance issues, and enhancement requests.
  • Monitor scheduled jobs and logs to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users.

Documentation

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, customizations, workflows, and architecture decisions.
  • Create user guides and training materials to facilitate smooth adoption by end users and support teams.

Training & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, technical architects, and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide training sessions and support to internal teams and end users, ensuring a strong understanding of the platform's capabilities and usage.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed on the latest ServiceNow features, industry trends, and ITAM best practices.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve current processes and drive innovation using the ServiceNow platform.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a strong focus on IT Asset Management and Software Licensing.
  • Solid understanding of ITAM lifecycle processes—discovery, procurement, license management, asset tracking, and retirement.
  • Proven experience configuring and supporting SAMPro, Discovery, CMDB, and Procurement modules within ServiceNow.
  • Expertise in JavaScript, along with a solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and general web technologies.
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, Script Includes, ACLs, and MID server configurations.
