As a Front-End Software Engineer at LinkedIn, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our products. Collaborating closely with User Experience Designers and Product Managers, you'll be responsible for crafting world-class interfaces that drive engagement and value for our users. This role offers a hybrid work option, allowing you the flexibility to work remotely or from a LinkedIn office based on your preferences and team needs.
Responsibilities
- Own the front-end development of LinkedIn products, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge technologies and write state-of-the-art code.
- Provide technical leadership in driving best engineering practices and executing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
- Identify and evangelize opportunities to enhance engineering productivity across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of hands-on web development experience with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with backend development in Java.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, Ember, React) and debugging tools.
- Strong knowledge of front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility, security, and usability.
- Experience with Unit, Integration, and Visual Testing.
- Familiarity with JSP and Dust programming is a plus.
- Eagerness to develop progressive, single-page applications (e.g., Backbone, Angular, Play framework).
