As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you'll contribute to LinkedIn's mission by enhancing the developer experience on our platform. Your focus will be on building end-to-end API partner developer experiences and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive API integration efforts.
Responsibilities
- Build tools and platforms for seamless integration and onboarding of LinkedIn’s API products.
- Scale distributed applications, applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns.
- Develop high-volume, reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.
- Produce high-quality software through unit testing, code review, and continuous integration.
- Provide technical leadership, driving best engineering practices across critical programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity and evangelize best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns within the team.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 2+ years of hands-on web development experience with object-oriented JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience developing backend services in Java.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular/Ember/React) and debugging tools.
- Prior experience building public APIs with Java and working with RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
- Knowledge of front-end architecture best practices, including performance, accessibility, security, and usability.
- Experience with unit, integration, and visual testing.
- Familiarity with JSP and Dust programming is a plus.
- Ability and eagerness to program progressive, single-page applications (Backbone/Angular/Play framework).
Suggested Skills
- Proficiency in Data Structures & Algorithms.
- Strong HTML/CSS skills.
- Expertise in JavaScript and JavaScript Build Tools.
- Experience with UI Frameworks such as React.
