As a Software Engineer in Google Ads, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our advertising products, including search, display, shopping, travel, video ads, and analytics. You will contribute to building technologies that connect businesses with users and drive measurable results across the open internet. Key Responsibilities
- Code Development. Write high-quality product or system development code to build and enhance Google Ads products.
- Design Reviews. Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate and select appropriate technologies.
- Code Review. Review code developed by other engineers, providing feedback to ensure adherence to best practices, style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Documentation. Contribute to and adapt existing documentation or educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Issue Resolution. Triage and debug product or system issues by analyzing their sources and impact on hardware, network, or service operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience. 1 year of experience in software development using one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
Preferred Qualifications
- Education. Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience. Experience in developing accessible technologies.
