As a Software Engineer in the Xbox Platform and Experiences team, you will work closely with other engineers in an agile environment to develop modern gaming ecosystems in support of future gaming growth. You will have the opportunity to leverage industry-leading standards and cutting-edge technologies such as TypeScript, REACT/REDUX, C#, C++, and more. Our software experiences are highly service-driven, so there may be opportunities for back-end co-development as well. Responsibilities
- Contribute to feature design and development across application, client web, and server technology stacks.
- Investigate, diagnose, and fix product issues in both development and production environments.
- Provide quality code review feedback for peers.
- Deliver high-quality, testable, and reliable code in a production setting.
- Foster an inclusive, creative, and high-performance problem-solving team culture.
- Coach and mentor other team members.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional coding experience in relevant languages and technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Redux, C#, C/C++, Python, etc.).
- Excellent skills in design, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Motivated to learn and push boundaries in challenging technical domains.
- Capable of working independently in a hybrid work environment.
- Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ideal (not Required) Qualifications
- Experience developing in a standards-based web environment.
- Experience with developing and operating public-facing websites.
- Experience with application user experience development.
- Experience with back-end or microservices development.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containers.
