We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Software Engineer to join our Commercial and Money Movement Solutions team. In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in designing, enhancing, and building our transactional engine within an agile development environment. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from creating new software solutions to refactoring existing functionalities for improved performance and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on software engineering activities, including proof of concepts (POCs), design, documentation, development, and testing of new functionalities.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance user experiences and streamline business processes.
- Work in a hybrid model, alternating between remote and in-office work 2-3 days a week as determined by leadership.
- Adapt to changing team needs and priorities, demonstrating flexibility in task management.
- Ensure the software is built to scale, maintainable, and efficient.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3 years of software development experience, or a Master’s degree with 1 year of experience.
- Strong experience in Java, REST APIs, and JSON, along with exposure to container-based technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, utilizing tools such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Sonar, and JUnit.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- A responsible, self-directed, and forward-thinking mindset, operating with focus and discipline with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced Agile environments, adapting to rapid changes in requirements and timelines.
- Knowledge of web service standards and related technologies (XML, SOAP, JSON, REST, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
