To enhance communication and content exchange on LinkedIn, we seek a talented Research Engineer/Scientist to develop cutting-edge NLP and vision algorithms. You will play a crucial role in improving content understanding, summarization, classification, and clustering to better serve our global member base.

Responsibilities
- Develop advanced algorithms for understanding visual and textual content and member interactions on LinkedIn.
- Create state-of-the-art classification models for text, images, videos, and graphs, capable of handling millions of pieces of content and thousands of categories.
- Develop supervised and semi-supervised models to scale with hundreds of millions of members and their content.
- Manage the end-to-end process of model development and deployment at LinkedIn’s scale.
- Mentor junior research engineers in applying advanced machine learning techniques to solve critical business problems.
- Represent LinkedIn in academic and industry circles, showcasing our innovations and scientific expertise.
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Computer Vision, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling/Inference, Data Mining, NLP, Graph/Geometric Deep Learning, Large Language Models, Generative AI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning or related fields.
- Understanding of standard programming and software engineering practices.
- Proven track record of publishing in academic and industry venues.
- Strong programming skills and enthusiasm for coding.
