We are seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our Core Platform team within Azure Data. As a member of this team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the main compute platform that underpins all Azure Fabric products. If you have a passion for building high-throughput, multi-tenant services and possess strong experience in backend service development, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality components using C#/Java, ensuring clean, well-tested code.
- Integrate Azure technologies to achieve high scalability and reliability.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of features and solutions with a focus on quality.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and partner teams to refine chosen solutions.
- Review and contribute to specifications and implementations by team members.
- Provide technical leadership across features, projects, and service fundamentals.
- Mentor new engineers to foster their growth in the software development environment.
- Embrace and embody our company culture and values.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
Other Requirements
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
