In this role, you will be an integral part of LinkedIn's India initiatives team, leading a group of engineers to develop new products, enhance services, and scale existing LinkedIn offerings for the rapidly expanding Indian market. Your responsibilities will extend to collaborating with teams across the company to ensure a consistently exceptional user experience across various platforms and products.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance and career development of a team of engineers, taking ownership of significant parts of LinkedIn products that involve design, architecture, and coding.
• Collaborate with senior management in crafting a long-term technology roadmap.
• Serve as a role model and professional coach for engineers, emphasizing a bias for action and a commitment to craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.
• Lead teams in scaling distributed applications, making architectural trade-offs, reviewing code, and delivering with speed and quality.
• Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.
• Produce high-quality software, adhering to unit testing, code review, and continuous integration practices.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 6+ years of relevant engineering work experience and 2+ years of hands-on technical management experience.
• 5+ years of software design and coding experience in languages such as C++ or Java.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience, demonstrating growth and a track record of successful deliveries with small to medium-sized teams.
• 3+ years of experience in building and working with production-grade systems.
• Proven experience in shipping large-scale projects with dependencies across multiple teams.
• Successful creation and execution of technical strategy and roadmap.
• Active involvement in coaching, mentoring, and fostering the career growth of team members.
• Track record of establishing and delivering on successful cross-functional partnerships.
