As a Solution Architect or Technical Lead, you will have a direct impact on the growth and operational success of Ericsson's mobile wallet implementations across the globe. You’ll work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver scalable, secure, and innovative fintech solutions using the Ericsson Wallet Platform (EWP) and related technologies.
You’ll be the driving force behind high-level architecture and detailed technical design, leading implementation efforts while ensuring successful integrations across third-party services such as USSD, SMSC, Banks, and Service Delivery Platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design Leadership. Prepare high-level (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documentation for mobile wallet implementations and complex integrations using EWP.
- Customer Engagement. Engage in regular interactions with customers to gather business requirements and technical needs while providing expert guidance on solution design.
- Integration Management. Ensure seamless integration with third-party systems (e.g., banks, SMSC, USSD, SDPs), ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work with diverse teams across product management, development, and operations to deliver end-to-end fintech solutions.
- Governance & Reporting. Report progress regularly to Project Managers and key stakeholders, participate in governance forums to align solution direction.
- Testing & Validation. Define acceptance criteria, perform system testing, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts to achieve customer sign-off.
- Innovation & Strategy. Propose new solutions to customers to create fresh business opportunities, influence Ericsson’s roadmap through market insights.
- Documentation & Tools. Use tools like MS Project, MS Visio, and other planning tools for documentation, design, and project tracking.
What You Bring to the Table
- Education. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is a must, Master’s or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Experience. 8–12 years of experience in designing and implementing complex telecom or fintech systems.
- Customer-Centric Approach. Hands-on experience working directly with customers in a solution governance or consultative role.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, UNIX/Linux, HTTP, DIAMETER, SMPP, XML APIs, clustering, and IP networking.
- Strong experience with relational databases like Oracle and MySQL.
- Previous deployments in public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) are highly desirable.
- Documentation Skills. Proven ability to write solution design documents such as HLDs, LLDs, and integration guides.
- Fintech and Telco Know-how. Understanding of convergent charging, billing systems, CRM, omni-channel platforms, and digital customer experience.
- Strategic Thinking. Business-savvy with a deep understanding of market trends in fintech and the ability to translate technical solutions into value propositions.
- Leadership & Communication. Strong interpersonal skills with experience leading multicultural and matrixed teams, capable of influencing C-level stakeholders.
- Certifications. Industry certifications in Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or fintech solutions are a strong advantage.
- Language Skills. Proficiency in English at a professional (C1) level is mandatory.
