SQL Developer

As an SQL Developer at Wipro, your primary role will be to design, test, and maintain software programs and applications to ensure they meet 100% quality assurance standards. You will be instrumental in developing solutions that align with client requirements and enhancing system performance. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality software that addresses the needs of the client and supports business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Design & Development. Understand product requirements, design software solutions, and develop robust SQL queries and scripts.
2. Problem-Solving. Investigate and troubleshoot problem areas, performing root cause analysis to resolve system issues and improve performance.
3. System Optimization. Identify and implement ideas to enhance system performance, availability, and reliability.
4. Client Requirements Analysis. Collaborate with functional teams and systems analysts to convert client requirements into feasible designs and solutions.
5. Coding & Testing. Write and test code to ensure optimal development of software modules, automate processes for software validation, and design test cases/scenarios.
6. Documentation. Prepare comprehensive documentation, including reports on project specifications, status, and system modifications.
7. Error Handling. Modify software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces. Ensure code quality and minimal bugs.
8. Stakeholder Communication. Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders (Lead Software Developers, Project Managers) and external clients. Ensure effective communication and prompt resolution of issues.
9. Education & Training. Participate in ongoing education to stay current with best practices and programming languages, contributing to continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

1. Educational Background. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3. Technical Skills. Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries. Knowledge of software development life cycles and system performance optimization.
