- Advocate for the removal of technical roadblocks to ensure long-term success.
- Design and implement data pipelines and capabilities that are secure, scalable, and reliable.
- Conduct buy vs. build analyses and document data flows and architectural decisions.
- Research and recommend frameworks and architectural patterns for large-scale data processing.
- Identify areas for improvement within current designs and propose innovative solutions.
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration to develop effective solutions for complex issues.
- Apply design thinking to enhance organizational efficiency and recommend process improvements.
- Lead advancements in data engineering, cloud platforms, data models, and business intelligence.
Who You Are
- 7+ years of experience in developing data engineering solutions, including ETL processes, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or lead role.
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Architect.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake).
- 5+ years of experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, and data observability tools.
- Proficient in NoSQL and SQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
- Experienced in data integration strategies, performance optimization, and data governance.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Familiar with BI and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse groups and leadership levels.
- Understanding of data mesh principles and experience in performing build vs. buy analyses.
- A results-driven mindset focused on achieving outcomes over simple task execution.
