Sr. Product Support Engineer

Sr. Product Support Engineer • Understand and document customer’s requirements to manage expectations and provide excellent customer service. • Provide technical presentations to customers and partners. • Assess customer’s technical environment and plan software installation and configuration. • Provide analysis and hands-on assistance in the installation and configuration of AppStream products within a variety of platforms and applications. • Provide client training on operational procedures. • Troubleshoot customer issues and work with other departments (e.g. Engineering, QA) to resolve them. • Provide documentation and status reporting on product implementations. Qualifications: • 5-7 years of experience in performing a technical customer-facing role. • 5-7 years of experience in software deployment products. SMS, Tivoli or Marimba are preferred. • 4+ years of experience in deploying software in a Windows environment, integration experience preferred. • Demonstrated experience in enterprise customer support for a client-server product • Experience in installation, configuration and maintenance of Web servers such as IIS, Apache and Tomcat is preferred. • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, proxies and firewalls. • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, ASP, JSP and XML. • Knowledge of software installation internals is preferred. • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong sense of customer commitment. • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. • BS degree in Computer Science or related field. • Flexible schedule and ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
