The Senior Software Engineer will work to improve the monitoring interface and data acquisition pipeline for the Genius Tracker. They will work to improve the efficiency and security of data acquisition and develop new features that make the web interface easier to use and more feature-rich. This will involve developing tools and applications to ingest data through cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities-
- Develop code in Javascript and Python
- Work in an existing codebase to make improvements and fix issues
- Coordinate with engineering team to understand requirements for monitoring website and data pipeline
- Work in conjunction with other web developers
- Work with technologies including Node, Docker, AWS
- Maintain server to keep website running smoothly and responsively at all times.
Requirements-
- Experience with TCP networking
- Experience with SCADA preferred but not required
- Experience with Cloud Development
- Knowledge of security, understanding of authentication, authorization and encryption
- Python, AWS IoT Core, DynamoDB, Lambda, Linux, Javascript, Kinesis
- Experience with Modbus, TCP, SSH, SFTP, MQTT
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4 years equivalent experience
- 5 years relevant job experience.
