As a Senior Software Engineer with our Reliability Engineering Automation team in Bangalore, you'll play a vital role in maintaining Visa's systems' security and uptime. You'll design and develop efficient solutions aligned with industry standards and best practices in web development. Taking ownership of key modules, you'll conduct code and design architecture reviews, advocate for best practices, and establish development standards. This role suits a senior technologist passionate about problem-solving, refactoring legacy code, and adapting to new technologies. Additionally, you'll lead implementations on critical modules and provide mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience with an Advanced Degree
- Knowledge of content management concepts and systems is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to prioritize in a multitasking environment
- Ability to negotiate delivery scope and timelines with both Technology and Business counterparts
- Passion for learning and adopting new technologies as organizational needs evolve
Technical Qualifications
- 4 years of hands-on experience in Python (Python, Django)
- 4 years of hands-on experience in RDBMS with SQL
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Golang, Java, C#, Python, or NodeJS
- Enterprise-level web development experience in Java/J2EE, AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, XML, and JSON
- Solid knowledge of writing secure Restful APIs
- Familiarity with technologies like Jenkins, Git, Docker, Unix commands, and shell scripts
- Understanding of microservice architecture and containerized application deployment
- Experience with GIT, Maven, and CI/CD practices
- Knowledge of security scanning tools like Checkmarx, SonarQube, etc.
- Experience with at least one Cloud Platform (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies; SCRUM experience is advantageous
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Strong time management, organization, and planning abilities
