Visa Inc. is seeking a dynamic Lead Automation Engineer to join our newly formed automation engineering team in Visa's Global Operations organization at our US Ashburn VA office. As a Staff Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving Visa's automation journey, focusing on process automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability across our key products and services, network operations, and ITSM processes.
Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Areas
- Lead Visa's automation journey through process automation initiatives, fostering an automation-first mindset across the organization.
- Provide technical expertise to drive Global Operations process automation and tools development, aiming for increased efficiency, cost reduction, and error elimination.
- Develop and deploy automation solutions for routine tasks, change procedures, monitoring/alerting, incident mitigation, and more.
- Collaborate closely with operations teams to understand operational procedures and execute strategic automation plans.
- Drive adoption of internally developed and external tools/technologies to enhance efficiency.
- Train and support operations staff on the use of automation systems and tools.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience with technical automation engineering or commercial software development experience.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation skills, with experience in programming languages like Python or Golang and automation software like Ansible, UIPath, etc.
- Deep knowledge and experience in automation engineering, robotic process automation, AI/ML technologies, and secure software development practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to manage competing priorities and stay organized.
