Responsibilities
- Design and scale distributed applications, making architectural trade-offs and implementing synchronous and asynchronous design patterns.
- Develop high-volume, user-centric applications that operate 24x7, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Write high-quality, unit-tested code, adhering to best engineering practices and participating in code reviews and continuous integration.
- Provide technical leadership and drive best engineering practices across large-scale, cross-functional projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity and effectively evangelize them across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithmic solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Ruby, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant work experience, Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant work experience, or Ph.D. with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience designing and building infrastructure and web services at scale.
- Expert knowledge of computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Strong coding skills in Python or JavaScript/AJAX, database design, SQL, TCP/IP, and network programming.
- Experience with web application development tools and technologies such as IDEs, ANT, JUnit, etc.
- Proficiency in relational databases, database architecture, and distributed transaction management.

We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices, with a pay range of $144,000 - $235,000 for this role. Compensation packages are determined based on factors including skill set, experience, certifications, and office location.
