As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the design and development of scalable systems for Azure infrastructure and applications. You’ll collaborate closely with Software and Infrastructure Engineers to automate processes, build deployment tools, and support internal enterprise IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation & Tooling. Contribute to the development of automation tools and continuous delivery services for Azure infrastructure.
- Software Development. Produce high-quality software for build and deployment, ensuring code is unit tested and integrated continuously.
- Project Management. Manage project priorities and deliverables in your area of expertise.
- Mentorship. Train and mentor team members on coding standards, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure architecture.
- On-Call Support. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to address critical outages in collaboration with global teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Education. BTech/MTech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Experience. 10+ years in Azure management and cloud-focused software development, particularly with C#, Python, or similar languages.
- Build & Release Engineering. Proven experience in creating CI/CD pipelines and writing integration/unit tests.
- Cloud Management. Proficiency in managing cloud resources with declarative languages (e.g., ARM, Terraform).
- Software Design. Strong background in software design and architecture.
- DevOps Practices. Familiarity with DevOps principles and Agile methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in designing solutions for enterprise users on Azure.
- Experience in building cloud automation and management platforms at scale.
- Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and continuous delivery platforms.
- Awareness of Generative AI and related automation technologies.
