Job Description

The Tracking Team at LinkedIn is pivotal in ensuring accurate data collection on how users interact with our web and mobile applications. This data is crucial for business insights, product enhancement, and AI model development. We are developing a next-generation Tracking platform to efficiently collect interaction data across multiple technology stacks and generate real-time insights.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new features in the Tracking SDK for LinkedIn's native iOS apps, leveraging mobile OS frameworks for multi-threading, data persistence, and optimizing user experience across various screen sizes.
  • Make architectural decisions using synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, ensuring high-quality code delivery with speed and precision.
  • Provide technical leadership, driving best engineering practices across large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Evangelize opportunities to enhance engineering productivity and improve data collection practices.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and AI engineers to deliver impactful solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • B.Tech/B.E (or higher) in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of industry experience.
  • 4+ years of programming experience in Objective-C or Swift.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
  • Proficiency in common mobile application design patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVP).
  • Familiarity with API design and client/server communication principles.
  • Expertise in multithreading and performance optimization techniques.
  • Extensive experience in iOS mobile application development.
  • Background in developing scalable and reliable applications operating 24x7.
