Job Description
As a new grad Software Engineer at Visa, your placement within one of our technology organizations will be tailored to your skill sets, interests, and team needs. Your responsibilities may include:
- Writing optimized, secure, and scalable code following best practices such as unit testing and peer reviews.
- Crafting creative solutions to meet objectives aligned with both the product and technology roadmaps.
- Participating in the development of end-to-end technology solutions that address our business needs.
- Collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional organization within an Agile environment.
- This is a hybrid position, allowing for a flexible work arrangement with alternating time between remote and office. Hybrid employees are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week, determined by leadership/site, with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology, e.g., Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, HTML.
- Experience with writing utilities/automation tools using Selenium, Java, REST, Python, Groovy, and more.
- Familiarity with software testing principles.
- Solid understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Documentation proficiency for processes, designs, test results, and analysis.
- Leadership in root cause analysis and tracking defect resolution to completion.
- Reviewing and providing feedback on development code, test designs, and test cases.
- Effective communication with project stakeholders, demonstrating clear and concise written and spoken communication.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong ability to collaborate.
- Highly driven, resourceful, and results-oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity.
