We are seeking a highly skilled IFRS-16 Implementation Specialist with a strong background in finance and property modules to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in implementing IFRS-16 lease accounting standards and possess a deep understanding of finance and SLA accounting. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with IFRS-16 across the organization and requires a proactive individual with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- IFRS-16 Implementation. Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of IFRS-16 lease accounting standards within the organization.
- Lease Analysis. Analyze and classify leases as either finance or operating leases in accordance with IFRS-16.
- Asset and Liability Calculation. Calculate and accurately record right-of-use assets and lease liabilities on the balance sheet.
- Journal Entries and Disclosures. Prepare and review lease accounting journal entries and related financial disclosures to ensure compliance with IFRS-16.
- Policy Development. Develop and maintain comprehensive lease accounting policies and procedures that align with IFRS-16 requirements.
- Collaboration. Work closely with various departments to identify, document, and manage lease agreements, ensuring all leases are properly accounted for.
- Impairment Testing. Conduct regular impairment tests on lease assets and make necessary adjustments to reflect true financial value.
- Regulatory Compliance. Stay up-to-date with IFRS-16 requirements and regulatory changes, ensuring ongoing compliance across the organization.
- Training and Support. Provide training and support to internal teams on IFRS-16 implementation and ongoing management.
- Audit and Review. Regularly review and audit lease accounting records to ensure accuracy and adherence to IFRS-16 standards.
Required Skills
- Professional Certification. Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification is required.
- IFRS-16 Expertise. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with IFRS-16 lease accounting standards.
- Financial Acumen. Strong experience in financial reporting, analysis, and accounting principles.
- Analytical Skills. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
