Technical Architect

As a Technical Architect at TCS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and architecture of complex IT solutions. You will be responsible for analyzing business problems, evaluating IT solution options, and designing scalable and efficient architectures that meet the needs of the organization. Your role will involve working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the proposed solutions align with business goals and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design. Analyze business problems and design IT solutions that are both efficient and scalable. Assess and recommend architecture options to address business needs.
2. Java Development. Utilize your extensive experience in Java development to design and implement robust, high-performance applications.
3. Open Source Frameworks. Leverage frameworks like Spring and Hibernate to build and integrate various components of the solution.
4. Web Services. Develop and manage SOAP and RESTful web services to facilitate communication between different systems.
5. Capacity Planning. Conduct hardware sizing and capacity planning to ensure that the architecture can handle the anticipated load and scale as needed.
6. Technical Leadership. Provide guidance and mentorship to other developers and teams. Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and other collaborative activities to uphold best practices and high standards.
7. Documentation. Create and maintain technical documentation to support the development process and ensure clarity on architectural decisions.

Must-Have Skills

1. Java Development. Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Java development with proficiency in Core Java and J2EE technologies.
2. Frameworks. Hands-on experience with open-source frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
3. Web Services. Practical experience in developing SOAP and RESTful web services.
4. Capacity Planning. Experience in hardware sizing and capacity planning.
5. Architecture. Proven ability to analyze business problems and assess IT solutions and architecture options.

Good-to-Have Skills

1. Build Tools. Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, or GIT.
2. JavaScript Frameworks. Understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS, AngularJS, or BackboneJS.
3. Digital Technologies. Knowledge of current digital technologies and trends.
4. Insurance Industry. Familiarity with the insurance business and industry practices.

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3).
• Graduate in BE/BTech/MCA/BCA/BSc/MBA.
