The Visa Direct team is seeking a Technical Product Manager with a strong technical background and a passion for product ownership to drive the growth and innovation of our products. Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap. Collaborate with business sponsors and product managers to develop and refine the product strategy and roadmap.
- Requirements Definition. Influence stakeholders to define product requirements and translate high-level requirements into detailed specifications for engineering teams.
- Solution Development. Lead white-boarding sessions with business sponsors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to craft solutions for product requirements.
- Product Development Planning. Partner with architects and development leads to create detailed development plans and roadmaps.
- Agile Product Ownership. Act as Product Owner during Agile planning and execution, ensuring requirements are clear and actionable.
- Execution Support. Provide requirements clarification during the execution cycle and manage bottlenecks, escalations, and trade-offs to balance business needs with technical constraints.
- Customer & Partner Engagement. Engage with customers and partners to drive product adoption and co-solutioning efforts.
- Innovation & Change. Foster innovation by leveraging new technologies and championing impactful changes within the product portfolio.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Experience. 6+ years with a bachelor’s degree or 4+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
- Technical Expertise. Proven experience managing products built using Java technologies, APIs (SOAP & REST), and Web & Mobile Development.
- Payments Industry. Experience working within the Payments space.
- Agile Proficiency. Hands-on experience in developing roadmaps, writing user stories, grooming product backlogs, and managing conflicting requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience. 8+ years of relevant work experience or 5+ years with a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years with an advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD.
- Complex Software Systems. Track record of successfully delivering complex software systems or services.
- Collaboration Skills. Exceptional ability to collaborate and drive consensus across global, cross-functional teams.
- Communication Skills. Outstanding communication skills with diverse audiences, including executives, product teams, and technology stakeholders.
- Business Acumen. Strong understanding of business and technical aspects, with a proactive, strategic, and organized approach.
- Learning & Adaptability. Quick learner with a 'can do' attitude, balancing strategic vision with detailed execution.
