The Visa Direct team is seeking a Technical Product Manager to drive the development and launch of new features and services. This role involves product ownership and requires a technical mindset to manage product strategy, execution, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business sponsors and product managers to define product strategy and roadmap.
- Develop detailed product requirements from high-level concepts.
- Influence and engage with business stakeholders to clarify product requirements.
- Conduct white-boarding sessions with stakeholders and SMEs to refine product solutions.
- Define product development plans and detailed roadmaps in partnership with architects and development leads.
- Act as Product Owner during Agile planning and execution cycles, managing product backlogs and prioritizing requirements.
- Address and resolve bottlenecks, manage escalations, and balance business needs against technical constraints.
- Foster innovation and leverage new technologies to enhance the product portfolio.
- Engage with customers and partners to drive product adoption and co-solutioning efforts.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Experience. 6+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
- Technical Skills. Experience with Java technologies, API (SOAP & REST), Web & Mobile Development.
- Payments Experience. Hands-on experience in the payments space.
- Agile Proficiency. Skilled in developing roadmaps, writing user stories, grooming product backlogs, and prioritizing conflicting requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience. 5+ years with a Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years with an Advanced Degree, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Track Record. Successful delivery of complex software systems or services.
- Collaboration Skills. Exceptional ability to work with global teams and drive consensus.
- Communication. Outstanding communication skills with diverse audiences including executives and technical stakeholders.
- Business Acumen. Strong understanding of business and technical aspects, proactive with a sense of urgency.
