Job Description

As the Cellular System Validation Lead at Google, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our cellular systems through field testing activities across various markets in India. You will analyze 5G/4G logs from field tests, identify key issues, and work closely with the Test/Software team to resolve them. Your responsibilities will include summarizing 3GPP/Google/carrier features, analyzing data, managing bug reporting, and driving and securing the Pixel modem quality from a modem/telephony perspective.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in mobile phone field testing.
  • Experience in mobile phone testing of 5G/4G technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in 5G/4G log analysis and debugging issues from field tests.
  • Proficiency in 5G (FR2/FR1)/4G Modem/Telephony.
  • Familiarity with 5G R15/R16 carrier requirements and driving cellular field testing projects across multiple product areas and distributed sites.
  • Knowledge of 5G/4G to drive field functional/performance and Carrier test.
  • Strong ability to influence, collaborate, and deliver solutions in a complex, always-changing environment.
  • Excellent organizational, stakeholder management, project management, data analysis, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and managed cellular system validation for field test activity in various markets across India.
  • Analyze 5G/4G logs from field tests in India, identify key issues, and collaborate with the Test/Software team to resolve them.
  • Summarize 3GPP/Google/carrier features, analyze data, and manage bug reporting to drive and secure the Pixel modem quality.
  • Exercise technical judgment to keep goals for programs, projects, and products attainable within a given timeline.
  • Communicate with stakeholders with clear quality signals per testing progress and identify opportunities for field automation and process/test coverage improvements.
