Join us as a Cloud Compliance Specialist where you'll play a crucial role in reassuring our customers about using cloud computing in their regulatory contexts. You'll collaborate closely with our senior leaders in cloud engineering and a global compliance team to ensure our customers' success with their cloud-based projects.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage customer and regulator issues related to cloud regulatory compliance, privacy, data location, and other common concerns.
- Engage directly with Microsoft leadership during escalated customer issues impacting compliance and privacy.
- Standardize compliance solutions into repeatable approaches that align with regulatory requirements and technical features.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation that bridges regulatory requirements and technical capabilities.
- Undertake proactive projects related to compliance, privacy, regulatory affairs, or data governance as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in a computing-related field OR Juris Doctor (or equivalent international degree) with specialization in regulation, privacy, government affairs, or technology.
- Experience in support, consulting, audit, or communications roles relevant to technology, law, regulation, or privacy.
- Familiarity with professional service (external) auditing is advantageous.
- Fully fluent in English in a business setting.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
Additional/Preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud offerings and their compliance and privacy aspects, or similar experience with hyper-scale cloud services.
- Knowledge of professional service contracts and statements of work.
- Experience in preparing customer-ready documentation on complex topics.
Other Requirements. Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
