Test manager (ITAS6)

• Responsible for managing the quality assurance/testing of software revisions to the SSPS. • Defines the processes and standards used by the Union Benefits Project team to develop test plans, create test scenarios and document test results. • Assigns and tracks testing tasks, works with others to resolve testing issues, and monitors and manages test progress and confirms that code changes are production ready. • Develops and/or maintains methodologies to promote complex changes through multiple environments to production, including but not limited to versioning and test scripts. • Works closely with peers on project planning and defining testing requirements, risks, and issues. • Coordinates systems implementations and revisions with other sections, divisions, and state and federal agencies. • Effectively communicates testing and release schedules to SSPS staff. • Effectively communicates with Management and external entities as deemed appropriate by his/her supervisor and/or the Project Manager. • Facilitates testing meetings. • Evaluates tools and technologies for integration into the software development environment • Introduces integrated, automated test tools to assist with test documentation, regression testing, defect identification and tracking, and root cause analysis. Trains and supports testers on the use of these tools.
