As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative and scalable solutions for IBM's MultiCloud SaaS Platform. You'll be responsible for crafting user interfaces for the IBM Knowledge Catalog (IKC) and data fabric products using the latest UI frameworks and Java-based secured microservices. Working in an agile environment, you'll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to create strong user experiences tailored to various personas.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects to define and validate the architecture and software design of components and modules.
- Design and implement web UI components and features using various front-end technologies, languages, and frameworks.
- Define REST APIs in collaboration with back-end engineers and implement data processing.
- Write unit tests, define end-to-end test cases, and contribute to automated testing.
- Gather functional requirements from stakeholders and refine them into technical tasks.
- Collaborate with UX designers to refine UI visual design and user experience.
- Work with an agile process and related practices/tools, collaborating with team members.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing and developing user interfaces for software products.
- Strong experience with Java, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks, with React being a must.
- Experience building responsive and reusable UI/UX components.
- Proficiency in web standards, including HTML, CSS/SASS, and Accessibility.
- Experience with REST APIs and JSON data.
- Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Artifactory.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English.

- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of User Interface design principles.
- Experience with Web security and API security.

- Experience with agile methodologies and automated testing.
- Experience implementing responsive designs and grid layouts.
- Experience with Java microservices.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps methodologies and tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Travis.
- Experience with GraphQL.
