As a UI Designer at HP, you will be pivotal in shaping the user experience for our products and services. This role is all about crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing interfaces that enhance user satisfaction and drive successful interactions. You'll leverage user-centered design principles to create seamless user journeys and ensure that your designs are technically feasible and aligned with development constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Analysis. Develop user experience solutions based on established design principles and HP’s design strategy, practices, and guidelines. Analyze user experience data and report findings to stakeholders.
- User Research and Testing. Conduct usability tests and user research to gather insights and validate design concepts. Create prototypes to facilitate these processes.
- Collaboration. Work closely with internal and outsourced development partners to ensure designs are implemented effectively. Collaborate with the experience design team to meet project goals and maintain high-quality standards.
- Design Creation. Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive and engaging user experiences. Ensure branding and illustrations are correctly integrated across various touchpoints.
- Project Participation. Engage in projects of varying complexity, contributing to the development of holistic and high-quality user experience solutions. Interact with globally distributed teams to align on design and development objectives.
Qualifications
- Education. Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Design, Human Factors Engineering, Social Sciences Research, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience. 2-4 years of experience in design principles, human factors engineering, or social sciences research. An advanced degree with minimal work experience may be considered.
Skills
- Proficiency in Figma (1+ years experience preferred).
- Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Familiarity with corporate design systems, HP Veneer knowledge is advantageous.
- Strong passion for data visualization.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
