Job Description

As a UX Designer, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of user experiences for people working in over 240 countries. Your role will involve designing solutions that simplify complex tasks for professional users, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and iterating on designs to create incredible software products.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the user and consolidate user research data and business requirements to drive clear UX direction.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes that empower customers to do more.
  • Produce designs that illustrate UI excellence and facilitate efficiency, insight, and growth.
  • Embody the "One Microsoft" motto and extend design thinking beyond your own project, considering holistic company values.
  • Initiate and facilitate UX team efforts such as design reviews, workshops, and pitch decks.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive team environment, contributing to a welcoming and safe working space.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of industry experience in UX design for products and/or services.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to present work to peers and leaders.
  • Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and the Adobe Creative Suite.

Advantages

  • Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud software or services.
  • Familiarity with accessibility fundamentals and inclusive design principles.
  • Strong understanding of human-centered design principles and agile methodologies.

Location. This role is based at the Microsoft campus in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, with the flexibility to work from home up to 50% of the time.
