As a UX Design Lead, you will be pivotal in shaping user experiences through comprehensive planning, strategic design, and cross-functional collaboration. Your role will involve leading user experience projects from conception through to delivery, ensuring that every phase aligns with best practices and meets user needs.
Experience. 7 to 9 years
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering. Engage in thorough requirements gathering sessions to identify project needs, potential risks, and gaps. Develop detailed project schedules by analyzing efforts and dependencies.
- Project Planning. Collaborate with project owners to understand project goals and prepare detailed plans defining deliverables and scope.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work with cross-functional teams to evolve user experience concepts, create functional prototypes, and test both prototypes and final products.
- User Experience Design. Develop best-in-class user experiences with a robust planning and execution strategy. Define a consistent visual language to enhance user focus and satisfaction.
- User Research and Testing. Conduct user research and testing to gather insights that inform and refine the user experience.
- Frameworks and Style Guides. Create and maintain frameworks and style guides for UI to ensure consistency and quality across all user interactions.
- Process Improvement. Identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Thought Leadership. Lead engagements with stakeholders, advocating for the importance of UX and influencing decision-making processes.
Skills and Qualifications
- Communication Skills. Strong ability to communicate effectively and persuasively.
- Critical Thinking. Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with a keen eye for problem identification and analysis.
- Design Thinking. Demonstrated proficiency in applying design thinking principles to solve complex problems.
- Collaboration. Ability to collaborate and influence both business stakeholders and development teams, with or without formal authority.
- Project Management. Proficiency in planning and managing projects independently, thriving in ambiguous situations.
- Design School Degree. A degree from a design school is an added advantage but not mandatory.
