We are seeking a skilled Windows System Administrator with a strong technical foundation in Azure Cloud technologies, PowerShell scripting, and Windows and Linux server administration. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations, security, and optimal performance of our server infrastructure, working with a team to support critical business needs and uphold high standards of system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Server Administration. Configure, upgrade, and maintain ESXi hosts and VMware vSphere 6.0 and above environments, ensuring robust performance and security.
- Windows & Linux Systems. Install, configure, and support Windows Server OS (2008-2022) and Linux hosts, offering expert troubleshooting and resolution of performance and configuration issues.
- Monitoring and Security Tools. Use tools like Datadog and SolarWinds for system monitoring and BeyondTrust for remote management and password security.
- Active Directory & Network Services. Administer and optimize Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, Windows clustering, file servers, DFS, and NAS, implementing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enhance infrastructure security.
- Hardware Management. Manage HPE standalone and blade systems, including enclosure hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
- Patching & Updates. Oversee patching activities using tools like WSUS, BigFix, or SCCM to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
- Network & Backup. Possess foundational knowledge in networking and backup administration to support efficient system operations and data recovery.
- Collaboration and Communication. Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating understanding and resolution of complex issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Azure Cloud technologies, PowerShell scripting, and VMware administration.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Servers (2008-2022) and Linux environment administration.
- Proficiency with remote management, monitoring, and password-safe tools.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, and network services.
- Experience managing HPE hardware and enclosure systems.
- Proficiency in patching tools like WSUS, BigFix, or SCCM.
