Anthropic is introducing the ability to build, host, and share interactive AI-powered apps directly in the Claude app. This allows developers to iterate faster without worrying about the complexity and cost of scaling for a growing audience.
Community Ideas
Early users have already built a range of creative applications using this new feature.
- AI-powered games where characters remember previous conversations and respond dynamically
- Learning tools that adapt to a student's individual skill level and offer personalized tutoring
- Data analysis tools that allow users to upload CSV files and ask questions in plain language
- Writing assistants that help generate content ranging from stories to technical documents
- Multi-step agent workflows that automate complex AI tasks using multiple Claude calls
Getting Started
You can begin building directly within the Claude app by enabling the interactive capability. Simply describe the app you want to create, and Claude will generate the code for you.
As you work with Claude, you can debug and improve the code based on your feedback. Once the app is ready, it can be shared instantly through a link—there is no need for a manual deployment process. Claude handles the technical backend like prompt engineering, error handling, and orchestration logic, so you can focus fully on your idea.
What can you do?
- Use Claude’s API within your app.
- Upload and process files.
- Build interactive user interfaces using React.
- View, fork, and customize any shared app.
Current Limitations
- External API calls are not yet supported
- No support for persistent storage
- Limited to text-based completion via Claude
Availability
This new capability is now in beta for all Claude users—Free, Pro, and Max plans. Anyone can start building, testing, and sharing AI-powered apps right from the Claude app—no extra setup or payment required.
Your users log in with their own Claude accounts, so you don’t pay for their usage, and there’s no need to manage API keys.
