Google has officially released Google Workspace Studio, a new hub for designing, managing, and sharing AI agents across Workspace — now generally available for business customers. Powered by Gemini 3’s advanced reasoning and multimodal intelligence, Workspace Studio enables anyone—not just technical teams—to automate everyday tasks and complex workflows in minutes, without code or specialized syntax. The move marks a major step in transforming Workspace from a suite of productivity apps into an AI-first automation platform.
Workspace Studio allows users to build intelligent agents that can prioritize emails, generate content, perform sentiment analysis, manage notifications, and orchestrate multi-step business processes. Early adopters such as Kärcher have reported dramatic efficiency gains: their digital platforms team reduced feature-evaluation workflows by 90%, replacing fragmented manual processes with coordinated “virtual teams” of agents built directly in Studio. Google says customers in the Gemini Alpha program used Workspace agents to complete over 20 million tasks in the last 30 days, highlighting rapid adoption.
Employees can create agents by selecting a template or simply describing the workflow in natural language—like “Label emails with questions as ‘To respond’ and send me a Chat notification.” Agents integrate seamlessly across Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Chat, and can connect to third-party apps such as Asana, Jira, and Salesforce.
