Salesforce Deepens Partnership with Anthropic to Bring Claude AI to Regulated Industries

October 14, 2025 — Anthropic and Salesforce are deepening their partnership to bring Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant, into Salesforce’s Agentforce platform — targeting industries like finance, healthcare, cybersecurity, and life sciences where trust, compliance, and data security are paramount.

The deal makes Claude a preferred foundational model for Agentforce via Amazon Bedrock, giving Salesforce customers access to advanced generative AI while keeping all sensitive data within Salesforce’s own virtual private cloud. Anthropic becomes the first LLM provider fully integrated within Salesforce’s trust boundary, a significant milestone for deploying AI in regulated environments.

“Regulated industries need frontier AI capabilities, but they also need safeguards before they can deploy in sensitive systems,” said Dario Amodei, CEO and co-founder of Anthropic. “This partnership makes Claude available to more Salesforce customers through Agentforce, bringing it to sectors like healthcare, financial services, and cybersecurity.”

Claude Becomes the Brain Behind Agentforce

Through this partnership, Claude will power AI agents that help financial advisors, healthcare providers, and cybersecurity professionals automate key workflows — from summarizing client portfolios and regulatory updates to drafting outreach emails and generating compliance-ready reports.

Early adopters like RBC Wealth Management are already using Claude to save advisors hours on meeting prep and client follow-ups. “Because of Anthropic on Amazon Bedrock and Agentforce, we’re helping advisors focus on what matters most — client relationships,” said Rohit Gupta, Head of Digital Advisor Platforms at RBC.

Building Industry-Specific AI Solutions

Anthropic and Salesforce plan to co-develop industry-specific AI models, starting with financial services. These AI agents will be fine-tuned to understand financial instruments, insurance claims, and industry frameworks, delivering more precise, context-aware support.

A financial advisor using Agentforce could, for example, ask Claude to summarize portfolios, flag new compliance rules, or automatically track customer consent — transforming multi-step processes into a single trusted workflow.

Claude Comes to Slack

The partnership also strengthens Claude’s integration with Slack, leveraging Slack’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) to give Claude access to messages, files, and channels. Users can now summarize conversations, extract decisions, and generate updates — or pull real-time insights from Salesforce CRM, Tableau, or other enterprise data sources — without leaving Slack.

The integration works both ways: Claude can now invoke Salesforce data, while Salesforce’s Agentforce 360 will soon embed Claude’s intelligence directly into its workflows.

Both Companies “Eat Their Own Dogfood”

The collaboration extends to internal use:

  • Salesforce is deploying Claude Code across its global engineering teams to automate documentation, code reviews, and development workflows directly inside Slack.

  • Anthropic, meanwhile, is using Slack + Claude internally to summarize threads, extract insights, and help sales and operations teams stay aligned.

  • Agentforce powered by Anthropic is available today for select customers.

  • Claude and Slack bi-directional integrations are live now.

  • Industry-specific Agentforce 360 integrations are currently under development, with broader rollout details coming later this year.
