Visa Introduces AI Shopping with Visa Intelligent Commerce

Visa

Visa has announced a major step forward in AI-driven commerce with the launch of Visa Intelligent Commerce, introduced at the Visa Global Product Drop. This new system is designed to help AI agents not just search and recommend but also buy on behalf of users.

Visa is working to create a smarter, more secure shopping experience, where AI agents can handle tasks like finding the best deals, picking out clothes, booking trips, or managing grocery lists all with the user’s guidance and approval.

Soon, people will have AI agents browse, select, and buy for them, said Jack Forestell, Visa’s Chief Product and Strategy Officer. These agents will need to be trusted by users, banks, and sellers alike.

What Visa Intelligent Commerce Offers?

AI-Ready Cards: Instead of using regular card numbers, Visa will use tokenized digital credentials to make payments safer. Only verified AI agents approved by the user will be able to make purchases.

Personalized Shopping: With user permission, AI agents can access past purchase data to offer smarter, more personalized product recommendations.

Spending Control: Users can set specific limits, rules, and conditions such as daily budgets or product categories so that AI agents follow the user’s preferences and restrictions.

Real-Time Transaction Monitoring: Visa will track all activity and offer real-time updates, giving users transparency and control while helping resolve issues like disputes quickly.

With over 30 years of experience in AI and fraud prevention, Visa is using its global network and technology to ensure these AI-powered transactions are secure, smooth, and trustworthy.

This bold move is expected to change the way people shop, making everyday purchases faster, safer, and smarter with the help of AI.
