Display Images on Photos Apps in Windows 8

Introduction

 
The Metro Start Screen is the best feature of Windows 8 that contains a collection of Metro Apps, games and shortcuts for installed applications on the computer. Metro Apps such as people, photos, video, music, etc. All of the photos applications are the very best and useful applications in the Metro start screen by which you can display your images stored in the computer as well as use for showing Facebook images, Flicker images, etc.
 
In this article, we are explaining how to show an image in photo apps in Windows 8. By default when you open photos apps it does not display any images because no image files exist in the image library and there is not a location of an image library. To show an image in photos apps you will have to add an image file to the image library. If you want to display a Facebook or Flicker image from an image library then must you have a Microsoft account and its account must be connected to Facebook and Flicker.
 

How to add an image file to an image library?

 
Step1
 
Open My Computer and go to "Libraries".

In the Libraries window go to "pictures" and right-click and select "properties".

In the picture properties click on "Add".

In this step locate your folder that contains an image and select it then click on "Include a folder".

In picture properties click on "OK". A message will be displayed "Do you want to share this folder?". Click on "Yes share this folder" to share the folder.

Now go to the Metro start screen and click on "Photos" apps.

The photos apps image will be in the "Pictures Libraries".
