How to Install an App From Windows Store in Windows 8

Introduction

 
As we already know, Windows 8 is added with new apps and extra features. Windows Store is one of the special features from the Consumer Preview edition of Windows 8. We can download and install all kinds of apps from the Windows Store in Windows 8.
 
So in this article, we will learn an interesting way to install/add an app from the Windows Store in Windows 8. This tutorial also helps us to add apps to the Metro UI from the Windows Store.

Before installing apps from stores we need a Windows Live ID.
 

How Install an App from the Windows Store?

 
Step 1
 
First of all, we have to move to the Start screen window of Windows 8.

Then click on the "Store" app from the Windows Metro screen as shown in the following image.

Windows Stores will then appear on our screen. This store holds links to apps; some apps are free and some are not.

Now here I am going to install the Cut the Rope game. This game is free of cost.
 
Step 4
 
To download and install this game, click on the app. On performing this action, a new interface will appear on your screen as shown in the following image. Just click in the Install button.

On clicking the Install button another interface will be available on your screen as shown in the following image.

Now on successful completion of the installation process, a small message will appear as shown in the following image.

Now to confirm just open the Metro interface window and the installed app's shortcut will be available in this interface.
